TOURNAMENT RULES & GUIDELINES – PLEASE KEEP THIS PAGE FOR REFERENCE

Contestants - may enter up to three events (one singles, one doubles, and one mixed doubles).

Guidelines:

• Junior Divisions - Players that are 10, 14, or 18 years old can play in their age divisions unless they will turn 11, 15, or 19, respectively, by August 31, 2017.
• Adult Divisions - Players who will reach the age of 30, 45, 60 by 12-31-17 will be eligible to compete in their respective age division.
• Open Divisions - Any player regardless of age or sex is eligible for the Open Divisions.
• Women’s Open - Any female player regardless of age is eligible for the Women’s Open Divisions.

New Age Brackets, Junior Tournament & Club Levels, Mixer Divisions

1. New 10 & Under Singles Orange Ball (Round Robin)
2. Age Brackets - 10U Orange, 10U Green, 14U, 18U, Open, 30+, 45+, 60+
3. Junior Tournament Level - For intermediate to advanced players with tournament experience.
4. Junior Club Level - For beginner to intermediate players who have little or no tournament experience.
5. Adult Mixer Division - Too competitive? Not competitive enough? Time constraints? Participate no matter your style - you are are welcome in the Adult Mixer Divisions!

• Casual format – Singles Mixer, Doubles Mixer, Mixed Doubles Mixer. Play one, two or all three Mixer Divisions!
• Play one 8-game pro set against players with similar skill level
• One evening per Mixer event (WED-Adult Singles Mixer, THUR-Adult Doubles Mixer, FRI-Adult Mixed Doubles Mixer)
• Start times will be posted Monday, July 31st
• Mixer Division players may register for Doubles and/or Mixed Doubles with OR without a partner. If you’d like play Doubles and/or Mixed Doubles but don’t have a partner, Tournament Director, Steve Pillon will pair you up with another player!

10 & Under Competition

The Boys’ and Girls’ 10 & Under Singles events will be played with Orange Balls (Round Robin on 60ft court) OR Green Dot Balls (single elimination draw) on a 78ft court. The 10 & Under Play Day event (separate registration required) is independent of the Boy’s and Girls’ 10 & Under Singles draws.

Scoring, Court Officials/Roving Umpire

• All matches will be best of three sets using regular scoring and a set tiebreak (first to 7 points win by 2) at six games all in each set. Upon splitting sets, a 3rd set match tiebreak (first to 10 points win by 2) in lieu of a regular third set will be played.
• The “Roving Umpire” and “Point Penalty” systems will be in effect throughout the tournament.

SCHEDULE OF PLAY

Approximate Guideline.

Some semifinal matches may be played during the week depending on draw size. Otherwise, semifinals will be played on Saturday. Finals will be played on Sunday.

Weather & time permitting, first round junior events will play a consolation match.

*Although we try to start the adults at 5pm, please be prepared to play at 4pm depending on draw size and court availability.
